I'm thinking of getting a telescope, too. I've always wanted one, but I've lived in the city and it's to light to see anything. But now, in KS, WOW!!!!

Right now, in KS, I'm learning to horseback ride, cycling, doing dog competition and dog social stuff, home renovation stuff, and gardening. Just picked up a 12 string guitar at a garage sale. I haven't played a guitar for years. When I get done fixing this place up, I will be heavily immersing myself into quilting!

In a few weeks I'll be up at the cabin, with a few days in the city each week. I'll still be doing the dog training and cycling, but I'll be taking Hardanger fiddle lessons, working on my wheel truing/bike mechanics skills, and working on my first vegetable garden. Oh, and I get to start painting and decorating the cabin, because it's bare right now. I'm kinda liking the horse stuff, so I may keep that up. Summer is social time it's a lot of hosting people up north.

In the fall, I do the Kansas stuff again.

In the winter, it's isolation time in Minnesota. I still do dog training, but I mostly earn money (I get most of my work in between November and March) and have maintainence people out to fix things. I skijor (Cross Country skiing attached to dogs) and I take the hardanger fiddle lessons. But mostly I just hunker down and work. I play a regular violin, too. I used to do a lot of video work, but I got a documentary to make for a government agency and went cold turkey after that, it just about killed me. But I have a half-made documentary on a huge sculpture my mom did for the city where I filmed it from the inception stage to completion, and I should really finish editing that. I take a lot of video and stills.
