Frankly, I don't care where it happens, I just want to see more efforts put towards multi-modal transit options.
Yes the NC project was probably a decade or two before its time. To bad, as the city-county-state might have had the capital available at the time to make it work. Now I think it would be a long shot to pay for even if ODOT could be brought on board.

I hear this from people who are supporting the street cars for Columbus: "I just want them for our city" To me it is just a symptom of the people who are unhappy with the Cow-town nature our city has. Invariably my friends who voice these opinions have moved here from NYC or Chicago and are planning on leaving as soon as they have the opportunity. Hardly the people I want deciding what my city should and should not spend money on.

Do I want ODOT to spend less on the freeways in the state, sure. Do I want more spent on bicycle facilities, yes, to a point. Do I want my tax dollars wasted on expensive projects when cheaper ones could acomplish the same goals only better, of course not. Do I have other non-transportation projects in mind that would vastly improve the quality of life for city residents (not necessarily the college students though), you better believe I and my neighbors on the south side do.
