I used to do a lot of sewing and quilting but that hobby has taken a back seat to cycling over the past few years. I still have all the sewing equipment and supplies which I'm sure will take up a lot of my time once I'm too old to ride

I also do volunteer work with the local Special Olympics organization. I have a 42 year old daughter who has been participating in their events for 32 years. She just competed in the local field and track. She's been traveling to Ohio State University to compete in volleyball for several years at the State Special Olympics.

I also volunteer for the local MetroParks as a bike patrolman, keep volunteer hours for the hike, bike and horse units and somehow I've been appointed parade coordinator for the group this year. We participated in a festival parade a couple weeks ago and will be riding in a centennial celebration for a nearby city next week.

Maybe after retirement I'll have time for more hobbies
