I don't know the Australian market very well, but a few things come to mind as there aren't very many makers of bikes such as the Biomega. They seem to be more of a gimmicky 'lifestyle accessory' for yuppies rather than a cycle for serious transport.
Check if the new Civia line of bikes are being imported into Australia. I know that the parent company imports their Surly line of cycles into Australia.
