Yep, I'm familair with the area. If you're speaking of the YRT, then yes I have been on that quite a few times. I usually ride from Connellsville to Ohiopyle, and back at least once a year. I should explore more of it though, so many great spots to get on that trail. Most of my rides are on the roads around the Waynesburg area.

I'm with you on the quick descents. That's the reward for climbing up to the top in the first place. I'll often stop at the top, and rest a little to get the heart rate back down some. Mostly because my heart beats faster on some of the downhills than the ups. I guess that's the adreneline rush we all hear about

There's a few of us Pennsyltuckians out here. One of my more regular riding buddies is someone I met on here a few years back. We even went out to Lancaster for a weekend last year, and rode with a bunch of folks from here on Bikeforums. If you use the "search the forums" tag above, and type Lancaster Covered Bridges in you can read all about it. A really great bunch of folks, and this year will mark my 3rd annual trip there with the gang.

See ya on the boards here,

It's good to hear from another PA rider - sometimes I think I'm the only one out here! Have you ever road the trails at Ohiopyle? That's the primary reason I moved here in the first place, best place on the East Coast for Kayaking, IMHO...
