Did you have it set to car or bicycle mode?
Double checked and it was in bicycle mode. I have never switched it to car mode. Not sure why the times were so far off. I'll see what it does the next time.

Let us know if it crashes at the lower detail setting.
I checked on the Motionbased forums and someone claims that they tried lower detail settings and it did not help. He also listed just about every setting that you could think of that might be related and none of them worked. It does seem possible that the crashes only happen if the map display screen is used a lot. I have the Davis Double coming up soon and I'll try avoiding the map screen and see what happens.

Todays ride consisted of a short warm up followed by a steep hill climb on tandem. While heading out to where I wanted to start timing, I left the map on but no crash. Once I started timing, I wanted it avoid it crashing if possible so just stayed on the bike 1 and bike 2 screens.

I'm not happy about not being able to look at maps I spent over $100 on the device they were designed to work on, but the reality is that I will probably spend more time looking at the route slip screen for longer rides. Hopefully an update is released soon.

I am actually more concerned with how I am going to manage to delete waypoints. I am hoping that they just get written over when I hit the maximum, but if not, I will probably end up resetting the unit instead of manually deleting them.
