Thanks for the support! Got home from work today and the weather is gorgeous, sun is out, 70 degrees, though -- perhaps I'll just go for a recovery ride, nice and easy for 10-12 miles. Then I tried to get out of the car and my knee disagreed. Will give it a few days then go see the orthopod if it's not behaving by then.
