I don't generally leave my bike unattended except for my Panasonic in the company bike rack and we have security at work so that's not an issue but why is it always a car full of 16 year old guys that drives quietly up behind you and then screams at the top of their lungs as they floor it and drive away. It's happened so often I don't even pay attention anymore but it just makes you wonder what they're thinking. Morons. And once I stopped in a pub after a ride to have a couple of beers - I brought my bike inside and leaned it against the wall. When I went to leave it was gone. Some idiot had decided to take it for a ride. What I think ticked me off more than that was when I asked the guys sitting around there if they had seen anything they were like, "Yeah, some guy got on it and road off a little while ago." And you didn't think the guy standing over at the bar in spandex shorts and jersey might be the owner of the bike???!!! Sheesh! Well, at least I got it back. I filed a report with the cops and they called me 3 days later to pick it up with a bent front wheel.
