Yes, through Garmin's MapSource you can combine both map sets into one gmapsupp.img file, but you will not be able to use the Find "Addresses" or "Intersections" features. Combining the two map sets appears to disable these features no matter which map set you select. I was able to work around this by loading the city navigator maps onto the SD card and the topo maps into the 705. I only need a few topo maps (20MB) so it is not a big issue for me.
