If everything is properly lubed, adjusted, etc. and it's still noisy, have the LBS check the derailleur hanger alignment. I was working on a bike not long ago and the rear gearing seemed to be possessed, I simply could not get it to operate consistently or quietly. I have a derailleur hanger alignment gauge, and sure enough the hanger was WAY out of alignment.
