+ a googleplex....TOTALLY helps in running....even at marathon pace, which these days is over 12MPH for top guys.
Lots of tough sports and no way really to compare them.....I'd say swimming can be rough because there is almost no joint wear and tear...OK shoulders after a while...which means you at complete liberty to destroy your CV system and muscles....2 hours in the AM and 2.5 hours in the PM...every day....
13 miles of swimming every day....
