You'll be able to install it, no problem. As long as you've got the right headset and hub, and of course disk brakes. It's a little more tricky to install than a normal headshok, but anyone with a little bit of mechanical ability should be able to pull it off.
As far as the front wheel goes, woodman makes a couple lefty hubs, they run about 105$ and 175$, so you can always get your wheel built onto one of those if your rim is in good shape.
Lefty's are amazing, I've been riding one for 3 years now and have never experienced any of the problems all the nay-sayers speak of, and have never met face to face with one either. Go for it! You won't regret it one bit.
