Lowrider rack question

I recently bought a "grab bag" of touring stuff off of ebay-a front & rear rack, 3 sets of panniers, and some other goodies. It was hard to tell what I was getting from the photos. The front rack ended up being a blackburn "custom" lowrider. I believe it is the type for mid-fork braze-ons. At least it has 2 arms on the top of the rack. Unfortunately, my bike does not have mid-fork braze-ons. Has anyone ever modified one of these racks to work on a regular fork? Is it even worth the bother? Or do I just resell it on ebay and buy the type that clamps on the fork? I'd like to hear your ideas. Thanks, Yeti
