I've been commuting since Feb, and am now up to full-time (4 days a week, 16-25 miles a day, depending on route and whether I take the bus part of the way; one day a week I telecommute). Can't stand the gym, but I am keeping my membership through the summer so I have the option if I need it when it gets really hot.
Plus there's a part of me that is convinced that as soon as I drop the membership I'll get hurt and have to re-up so I can work out while rehabbing!
Haven't lost any weight as far as I can tell, but that wasn't the point.
