There is a pair U-bolts in the box to attach the upper part of the rack around the fork.

Don't do that, however, if you have a carbon fork (or check with LBS first). But the U-bolt is perfect for steel or aluminium.

P.S. If you doN't have the bolts, your favourite hardware should have some.
