Don't do that, however, if you have a carbon fork (or check with LBS first). But the U-bolt is perfect for steel or aluminium.
P.S. If you doN't have the bolts, your favourite hardware should have some.
U bolts won't work with this rack. It has 2 arms on top, one arm for each side of the fork blade. It looks like it can be attached to either a non threaded mid-fork braze-on with a bolt, or to a threaded mid-fork braze-on with 2 screws.
