I dont know if you have those hunger pangs,but for me they are miserable if I don't eat.
If you're maintaining your weight at 3000 calories/day, you really shouldn't try to crash diet at 1200. If you want to lose weight, cut your calorie intake by 250 to 500 a day, and you should lose about a half-pound to a pound a week. That's not a lot: 250 calories is equivalent to one 20-ounce bottle of regular Pepsi Cola, for instance.
