Bianchi San Jose conversion...please help!
So, I'm sort of stuck in a quagmire here. I recently got from my brother who is moving overseas a Bianchi San Jose. At first I thought it was perfect, since I was looking into getting a track or singlespeed for awhile. This bike is completely stock. However, I really want to fix it up, and here is where I encounter some problems. Before this bike I was thinking of building my own from the bottom up, starting with getting a Leader frame, and go from there. But now that I got this bike, can I keep the frame and still build it up as if I had a Leader (or any other track rather than singlespeed)? The main thing is that I want to get rid of the brakes, or at least change them from being Cantilever, but then those weird knobs will be sticking out. Does anyone have any experience with converting a San Jose into a wicked track?
