Shoreline/Edmonds (WA) here.
I suppose I'm still a n00b. I rode a little last summer for exercise. This year, I decided to not use a car for as many nearby trips as I can, expanding the range as quickly as my body and the terrain will let me. My wife bought into the idea, and suddenly we've accumulated a fleet of bikes for us and our son, including a couple Xtracycles. We're logging how few times we actually need 2 cars, with the goal of letting one go. We work and school mostly at home, so commuting is difficult - the bikes just don't fit down the hallway. Even so, I'll be riding to the Shoreline ride-to-work checkpoint on Friday to be counted.
I got a flat tire on a car the other night, and I'm looking forward to hauling it to Les Schwab on the X, just for the visual.
