Koolstop Salmon for everyday riding?

Searched. People saying salmon koolstops for my Ultegra are the best. But I don't ride in rain everyday and the salmon ones are the ones recommended for rain. The black compound is for dry. Why shouldn't I just get the black ones? I have Ksyrium SL's.

Should I get the replacement inserts or the Dura shoes with the inserts in them? They're supposedly better because you can adjust toe-in but I thought I could adjust toe-in on my 6600 brake shoe aluminum thingy.
