Seriously, you ran the light. What more is there to say? That the lights were on times only eliminates any justification you "might" have.
Er. I "bypassed" the light. Whether it was 100% legal is up for question, however, seriously? You're seriously gonna tell me I deserve this ticket? I only mentioned the timed lights to state the fact that if you wait for every light, it takes you 3x as long to get up the street, and there are NEVER any cars crossing. My point was that it was deserted, and I carefully looked in all directions before "bypassing" said light.
I did not run it. I did, however, make a not so legal U-turn.
Still, I'm a BIKE. Who cares!?
Edit: If a car did the same thing, it would be completely different. it's twice as lon as me, 10x as wide as me, it weights 2 tons, and with the accidental tap of the pedal you fly 15 feet. Similarly, you have blind spots. Do I really have to argue how a car and a bike in this situation are completely different?
