-3M spray adhesive: This stuck better, but I'm sure once I'm riding for about 15 minutes they'll be loose again since they're still a little squishy near the ends of the bar.

What next? Krazy Glue? Rubber cement? JB Weld?
i have some glued on with a craft-shop adhesive. if i'm not mistaken, i sprayed the bar a bit, let it get sticky then sprayed the inside of the grip and let it get sticky, twist them on, leave them overnight and voila. i think the trick is to use a lot of glue and let it sit.
