I never biked in Montreal, but when I visited it a few years ago I was nearly run down as a pedestrian when I naively assumed that Montreal drivers behave around peds the same way Toronto drivers do. Montreal drivers seem faster and more aggressive. Toronto ones are more passive-aggressive, though that's not necessarily much better.
