Slumming Suburban. No extra dollars were spent fixing up this bike, everything drawn from stock on hand.

Before. $25 included new tires and tubes. He didn't get the tires seated correctly, so he figured the rims were shot.

After. The original bar/stem combo was way too close to my kneecaps for comfort, so a generic mustache bar gave me the extra 3 or 4 inches reach I needed. Replaced the stem shifter and Schwinn Approved rd with a Suntour bar end shifter and Suntour Honor rd. Combined with an early style Shimano HG freehub wheelset off a Voyageur and KKT chain, it shifts real sweet. Replacement saddle is a nos Brooks mattress (probably imitation). Turned out to be a nice neighborhood cruiser!
