'Cause I Have a Rollin' Stone!
Kidney stone, that is.
For the past 1 to 1-1/2 year, I've known about it. For the most part, it so didn't trouble me. Only occasional discomfort. About 3 weeks ago, I took a trip to the ER as it was more intense. They gave me something, pain gone. But, took CAT-Scan. Found out, the small stone from a year ago had grown to 11mm's!!
Went to Urologist, he sent me for X-rays to see if they are solid matter. Got them done. Now waiting for Monday so he can talk to me in person. He said if they are, he'll do a lapro--somthing-er-other-scopy with sound waves to break them down. I don't want 15 more little stones floating around in there--they hurt just one-by-one!! A friend said I should have them go up the tube and drag it out. Dr said nope: I'm too muscular or some-such nonsense. I'd like a 2nd opinion. But, like only 2 urologists in LA area. Sucks!
Friday, I had pretty rough pain at work, left early. Got home, doped on Tylenol/Codone. Good stuff--let me sleep. Felt dizzy all Friday night and Saturday morning. Threw up around 2pm Saturday. Feeling fine now (8pm). A little weak, but that's it. Have a race tomorrow late morning and afternoon. Hope I'm up for it. If not, I'll pass on 'em.
Anyone else have something similar? Advice?
