I agree on the Roams for touring, the first ones look like more of a performance shoe hence stiffer and harder to walk in.

Gotta have my SPDs, tried platforms with plastic toe clips and don't like them at all but then I do have neuropathy in my legs so SPDs keep my feet in position better. It's kind of like I feel weird if I drive without a seat belt on after all these years, same feeling without SPDs.
