I was comparing freeway congestion and and aggression between Denver and the San Francisco area, not bike-ability. I'm biased since most of my highway driving has been in other cities, but California metro highway driving scares the bejeesus out of me. I haven't biked in San Francisco or its suburbs at all, on that point I'll defer to you on how good it is. Pretty cool you bike in both places and can offer a direct comparison!

Totally agree on this point, I believe the one time I was told to "get on the sidewalk" it was a guy fitting this description. He might have had dog-boxes too, couldn't tell for sure.
