I carry a Petzl Tikka XP LED Headlamp as a backup light, in case my primary DiNotte 600L goes dark.

It's a really nice headlamp with a very bright 1/2 watt LED that's also useful for camping and other activities. And, it has a flash mode that is very noticeable to traffic.
