Cycling by itself - no. Cycling in conjunction with the other things I enjoy - absolutely. I climb (outdoors, indoors, trad, sport and bouldering) and cycling is a great compliment. Climbing is easy on the legs, so great to recover. And while climbing is a lot about confidence in feet and balance, you get a lot of upper body strength without building bulk. Climbers have the same premium on efficient light weight that cyclists do. I also do quite a bit of yoga, varying from a pretty challenging practice in the winter to a more gentle practice when I am cycling more. The last bit for me is pretty intense core work 3-4 times a week - helps on the bike and critical for climbing.

I guess you could lift weights, but that seems pointless and not very fun. Plus puts you in danger of getting one of those weird "gym bodies" that went out of style in the '80's.
