Very exciting day for cycling yesterday in Worcester, Ma....the unveiling of the new Major Taylor statue!

For a number of years, Major Taylor lived and trained in Worcester. He lived in the same neighborhood as my grandparents, and my mother tells me that my grandfather spoke of him often. And every year, there is the George Street Hill Climb To Commemorate Major Taylor....a short 500 foot time trial up George Street which is 18% gradient....which is where Major Taylor used to train.
