They won't have a choice...they will either adapt or suffer. What is amazing to me is the knee jerk reaction of most people to the cost of fuel. People need to get a grip and realize that having everday low prices and cheap fuel, as well as a lifestyle supported by it IS NOT A RIGHT and it is going to be taken away.
