I'm fairly sure Dia Compe would keep things in the family and use Suzue's tooling to make their hubs as opposed to having Formula do it. Think about it. Back in the day, Suntour was affiliated with all these different Japanese companies who weren't named Shimano - including Dia Compe, who did the brakes for the Suntour groups, and Sansin, who made the legendary hubs. Suntour went down, Sansin's hub tooling went to Suzue, Suzue went down, where do you think it went after that?
