Well, no ride today. My wife's birthday, and she's not a cyclist (working on that), but we did take advantage of the weather to paddle on the Concord River for a
couple hours -- very nice indeed.
I couldn't ride yesterday either. My knees are driving me crazy, not healing up as fast as they might. (Don't worry, SP, I'm being kind to them.)
[Warning: Off-topic rant follows...] I'm considering scrapping all my training goals for the spring (since we're halfway through and I've been either too busy or too injured to come close to them) and changing my whole approach to riding for a while, just so it's not so frustrating babying my knees. Just trying to focus on how far I've gone and totally ignore speed for a month -- or maybe indefinitely. A life of Long, Steady Distance, of zone 2-3 riding: That would be very challenging for me (extremely), but the legs are clearly asking for a change... We'll see how they heal as I go forward.
