What a great riding weekend! I took the bike out to Hamilton - Topsfield - Ipswich - Essex and then back to Beverly. I previewed a time trial course I'll be riding on Thursday. Pretty interesting course, but it was the weather that was truly inspiring.

On my way back, I ran into a group of riders that came up from Somerville to do 60+ miles on Cape Ann. It looked like they had a mechanical problem or a direction issue, so I stopped and offered some assistance. It turned out that they were just off course a bit and heading my way, so I made sure they got back as it was approaching sundown.

When we got back to their departing point, we had a 10 - 15 conversation about the roads in my area, their ride & cycling. It was definitely one of those cool cycling moments where you run into some nice people and realize that the majority of cyclist are just super people! Not a bad day!
