Really what's the other side of the story? Lawful protesters are being put into zones far away from the event, then surrounded by armed police. The other side is suppressing dissent, if you are okay with that then I guess that is your side. From a healthy democracy side, not so much. Look I'm not into conspiracy's, I believe we landed on moon, I don't think the Bush administration took down the towers (they just aren't that organized) but I do believe that there is a conscious effort to curb our ability to speak freely in this country.
Please give an example. The ones staged in my neck of the woods have not had this happen to them, however, different parts of the country have different things going on too so I might be missing something. I do know back near the republican convention a few years back some really stupid police work was done on the protests there which is why I mentioned political influence on the police.
