That is a link for a 6 year old article. I do not contest the fact some really crappy stuff happened after 9/11. What is going on now is more of my concern. Is there a link to something recent you would like to discuss? Aside from the fact that it would be nice to find a nice bipartisan source for the information rather than a one sided conservative rag.
It seems to me there was some railroading that went on post 9/11 and a lot of protectionist agendas were slammed through congress and to the country before people could react. Lately though it seems to me as if people are getting a more suspicious eye towards certain parties and much of the heavy handed tactics have died down in my opinion but lets discuss, what has happened lately, say within the last year? I could be completely mistaken after all in my perception.
The immigration protest in LA in 2007, people were clubbed and shot with rubber bullets while legally and peacefully protesting. The G8 protests in Seattle a few years back the list goes on and on. I'm not going to go through the internet for you and dig up every instance. The 'free speech zones' are still in effect. Do some research on your own and expand your mind. Or don't. I don't care, if you want to believe that everything is all peachy keen and our government is looking out for your best interest be my guest.
