The frameset is inexpensive to begin with. Ordered my Surly Crosscheck from Excel Sports in Colorado (mail/internet order) for a very reasonable price. You'll pay more for a carbon touring fork and seat post than you will for the whole frame. You could just use the fork it comes with, but I know on my CrossCheck it's an anchor...
