Recently bought a 1989 Univega 18spd touring bike. Bike was supposed to have less than 500 miles on it. It looks great. When pedaling under load the rear skips. I measured the chain and it is right on 12". The previous owner bragged no chain stretch. Only had the bike 3 days and problem getting worse. Skips under load in all gears. Shifts fine when not under load. The gears on the rear have square type tops and look real good. Any help will be appreciated.
