I don't pass them, they pass me. I do stay within eye sight and usually catch them at lights.

Our transit system is sorely lacking for a major city.

I should say that when I see them. I think in 3 weeks, I saw maybe 1-2 along my route. I commute at a pretty regular time and usually when you have the office rush that 7/8-9/10am time frame and again at 4-5 pm. The road I take is a pretty decent E-W connector to downtown and very residential.
