The tabs are visible on the front fork. The disc calipers mount here. Installing discs is a breeze, but you'll also need wheels with disc hubs, which would cost you a little more.
EDIT: I tried not to like this bike, but I love the geometry and the color, and the component set isn't all THAT bad.
