I own a bike shop that sells Pinarello (and Colnago, Specialized, Wilier, Time, Moots, Fondriest, Cyfac, Pegoretti, and Jamis). I ride a Paris and absolutely love it. I've taken one of our demo Princes out a few times and can respect what Pinarello has done with that bike, but I have no desire to trade in my Paris.

The Prince is an ultimate performer - we have NOTHING in our store that rides like it. However, there are very few riders out there that need or want that level of performance. If you crave ultimate stiffness and responsiveness, go for the Prince. If you want superb handling in a great all-around bike that forgoes only the slightest bit of excitement for a more comfortable ride, the Paris is also top of its class. If I had to own only one bike, it would be a Paris.

Your choice of components is a personal preference, but I can say that most of our customers who try Campagnolo end up putting it on their bikes.
