This is a pretty interesting thread. I've had my roadbike (Cannondale w/ double) for a few months. I live in a hilly but not mountainous area. I can make it up most hills (also did pretty well on a 3 day tour in Vermont), but I *really* slow down on the steep ones.
Is it realistic to think that I am going to develop enough additional strength to be able to really spin up some of these hills? (I'm not talking about Alpes D'Huez here) Or am I deluding myself? I'd like to be able to "spin" up hills, but right now it's more like "surviving"...
