Let's apply logic: the post you just "read" shows that experts agree that helmets are useless in crashes at significantly higher than 12 mph, that 12 mph crashes are innocuous, and that there is strong reason to believe that wearing a helmet will make serious crashes much more likely. Therefore, even before considering rotational injuries, which are probably more likely with a helmet and VERY serious, what I believe is that the value of a helmet is negative.
What you've failed to consider (or even to comprehend, once it has been pointed out to you - full marks for being thorough!) is that wearing a helmet may have a cost in the form of an increased rate of serious accidents - and this is what the data seems to say.
