unless it's a double left turn lane, you must not left turn from any other lane except the left turn lane.
you must enter lane #1 when completing a left turn. you cannot swing wide and take lane #2 or #3 because those have ROW for cars turning right in the opposite lane, except with advanced left turn signals.
bicycles must adhere to the same rules when making a left turn from a left turn only lane. it's very unsafe to parallel turn with another vehicle unless there are lane markings for it.

Right turners? It's very dangerous for cars to make a right turn onto a lane while the opposite direction cars are making a left turn on a green arrow even without a bicycle doing this maneuver.
