Stupid crash, stupid injuries....

So I was on finishing up my ride yesterday evening and was within a kilometer from home, crossing the St.James bridge (for those of you who are familiar with Winnipeg) and about halfway over the bridge on the cycle/pedestrian path some ****** bag on a Walmart special approaches head on.
There is a huge barrier between the road and the path, and a railing on the side of the bridge.
The path is wide enough for two riders to squeak by with little difficulty, so I wasn`t to concerned, as we pass, the dude gets nervous and turns his bars towards me for some reason. his bars clip my bars, but as he outweighs me by about 50 pounds and is riding a solid iron mtn. bike (with real working dual suspension!) he hardly wobbles, but I go careening into the side of the bridge barrier. I bounced off the barrier and end up lying in a heap in the middle of the pathway.
The guy didn`t even stop, and by the time I got my wits about me and looked around he was long gone.

Here`s the damage to my bike:

scratches all down the toptube and forks,
my handle bars are bent, the tape is shredded, as is the rubber hood on my shifter
my cycle computer screen got cracked somehow

Here`s the damage to myself:

Three sprained fingers, as well as skin torn off the knuckles on my right hand
road rash on my left hand, elbow , shoulder and chin.

On a brighter note I put in an order for new H.bars so next week I will be receiving these:

Anyways that`s my rant for the day.
