Sunglasses are a marketing marvel. You do need to avoid the really cheap ones, but spending more money does more to make you feel good about your purchase than the actual quality difference.
Also, remember the universal law of sunglasses. The more expensive they are - the more likely you will sit on them, leave them on the top of the car, etc. The really cheap ones seem to hang around forever!
