I have the Specialized Tahoe mtb shoe and comfortably ride over 100 miles at a pop. I routinely ride 60 miles at a time with them. There can be issues with both styles of shoes and it is a personal fit and comfort issue. I tried road shoes and had to sell them because they made my right foot hurt in a s few as 5 miles of riding.
