Maybe my point was lost because of my anger at the time. My point is, why should I leave my wheel at a store for 4 days, for a repair that could easily be done between any other repair in 10 minutes flat? My point in bringing up Campy was that if I was a bike store owner, and saw the potential for a good customer walking away for a repair that could be done in a few minutes, I would not be happy.

I would have easily come back in a few hours, or even left it over-night. Their website makes a big deal about "servicing riders quickly" and "getting you right back on the road ASAP".

Sounds like Ron runs a good shop - he's backed up, but would do on the spot stuff too.
