If they are backed up, then they are backed up. How is that somehow some personal thing. Grow up and accept that the world does not revolve around you or your plans. Now most shops, mine included if you told them of such a situation would likely accommodate you if it was possible for them to do so. After all we are human too. If you are dealing with a shop you should be happy they have lots of work. It means they are good at what they do!
