I think the 26" wheels on the smaller LHT's make a lot of sense. I'm actually a bit jealous, because I have the largest LHT (62cm) and the 26s aren't available. I've had some problems with broken spokes on tour, and I think 26" wheels have a bit of a strength advantage. Plus I think they fit the geometry of a smaller frame better. Just get some tires you like and you'll be set.
